A Vampyre Story (PC)
A Vampyre Story tells the tale of a beautiful gifted opera singer Mona De Lafitte, whose life is brought to an abrupt end by a vampire baron named Shrowdy Von Kiefer. Henceforth, she is doomed to a miserable existence as a creature of the night in Von Kiefer's gloomy castle in Draxsylvania. Confronted with her seemingly hopeless fate, she decides to run away and try to fulfil her dream of singing at the Paris Opera. Accompanied by her mischievous bat Froderick, Mona must face a number of challenges in her odyssey and learn not only to accept her vampire nature, but also to use the abilities she has acquired to her advantage.

Great game! Campy humor - just as you would expect from the Monkey Island crew - and great artwork/graphic quality. The puzzles are diabolical, and not always intuitive. As far as a demo, there IS an official demo available on the developer's site. ;o) It's taken from the end of the game, rather than the beginning, which is odd, but you can get the flavor of it, anyway.

Okay, I love adventure games. I thought this game looked familiar...it does look like the later Monkey Island games. The humor is hokey, but I have to admit I laughed. The puzzles are great, too.

This is a great adventure game, made by some of the same people that made Monkey Island and the Dig. It's about an opera singer turned vampire, with lots of silly humor and good puzzles. There are lots of reviews out on this game, so I didn't mind buying it without a demo. If you like Monkey Island, you should also like this game.

Story sounds Great. Screenshots look even better, only downfall... no free trial download. Not sure how many people would actually buy a game solely from sight.
